About Cook With Rosie
Food is life. But how do we cook and eat to live, whilst keeping it interesting and fun? Cook with Rosie brings cookery classes to the heart of Edinburgh for anyone looking to ignite a love of food. These classes provide an opportunity to learn about ‘good’ food, from the building blocks of cookery that form the necessary foundations to get you cooking delicious, family-friendly food with confidence. There is beauty in simplicity: and this is no different in the kitchen. But it can help to have a professional show you how.
Growing up on a farm in the highlands of Scotland, Rosie had her eyes open from a young age about the importance of farm to fork, where meals prepared at home rarely contained ingredients from anywhere more far flung than the kitchen garden, farm, or shops selling local produce. Rosie's ethos stems mainly from her mother's love of cooking wholesome food, and now with a young brood of her own, she strives to instil the same values about healthy family food and the enjoyment surrounding it.
Rosie’s experience in the food industry is diverse. Having honed her skills at Edinburgh School of Food and Wine, she then moved to London and joined Wahaca, helping develop the group into one of London’s leading restaurants. Having cut her teeth in the commercial side of the business, she then moved onto teaching at Leiths, the training ground for many of the UK’s best chefs.
It is with this education that she embarks on her own journey back in her hometown of Edinburgh: Cook with Rosie, spreading her love and passion for healthy, nutritious but never not delicious family food.
